Weatherproof paint protects exterior surfaces (masonry, brick, wood and metal) from rain, UV rays, mold, dirt and debris and actually helps to insulate your house by acting as an extra layer that helps keep warmth in and from escaping your home.
Protective paints provide a hydrophobic, breathable and durable coating that prevents water ingress, peeling, damp and dirt from effecting your houses exterior walls. Protective paints can be specially formulated to be more effective and suitable to certain materials, such as wood, or brick, cement or metal. In England and London in particular almost all houses are made from brick and masonry, therefore at EPP we use weatherproof protective paint that is specifically chemically formulated to work best on brick and masonry. We use the highest quality protective paint available on the market which lasts between 10 - 20 years. All high quality protective paints reliably last 10 years, after 10 years the climate and environment dictate how much longer they wok. England has high humidity, dry air, freezing cold winters, hot summers and constant rain throughout the year. It is a harsh climate and environment that is why British homes are made from a strong, tough and durable material like brick and stone, so they can withstand the climate. So in the UK and London protective paints usually last between 10 - 15 years and then start to lose their protective qualities.

EPP specialises in painting brick and masonry houses as these are the materials the vast majority of UK and London houses are made of. However we can paint any material your house is made from, we have painted timber houses, cement houses and even a large treehouse.
Every house we paint is guaranteed for 10 to 15 years, whether it is 10 or 15 depends on the material your house is made from.

PRICING
Transparent / Straightforward / Honest
The price we charge for painting houses varies and depends on the individual complexities of each property. A larger and more complex property requires more work and materials therefore has a higher charge whereas a smaller property requires less time and material to complete therefore has a lower charge. Painting a mansion or large property usually costs anywhere from 5 to 10 thousand pounds or even more depending on the size. Painting a bungalow usually costs between 2 to 3 thousand pounds.
The examples of the properties above are extremes and most of our jobs are on normal properties in and around London. A normal property being a two or three floor terraced property. A perfect example of the average and most common type of property we paint is in the picture on the left. To paint this property (front and back) we typically charge £2000.
If the client wants the railings or front wall painted to (as the vast majority often do) we charge £2500.
The above example is the most typical and common job that we at ExternalPaintingPros do and it makes up 70% - 80% of our business.
If the property is made up of three floors then we charge £3000 and £3500 for railings, front wall, etc. We essentially charge £1000 for each floor of a property, if the property is detached or semi detached we charge £500 for each side of a property. We charge less for the side of a property as side walls are easier and less complicated to paint then front and back walls.
By charging £1000 a floor we feel this gives you the client a transparent and honest idea of how much your property will cost to paint.
The deposit is 20% of the cost of the job, the deposit is paid once we have agreed with the client how they want their property painted and a date is confirmed. Then when the job is complete our painters get the sign off from you the client, only when you are 100% satisfied with the job and sign off on it, then you pay the remainder of the charge.

We only do a few things at ExternalPaintingPros, it says it in the name. Our focus and professional expertise is dealing with the outside walls and features of houses. We mainly paint the external walls of houses, we also offer to render houses to either repair damaged walls, or to protect from future damage.
